2413Lex (my gf) gets first letters mixed around. Classic examples include “pickcheas” for chickpeas, and so on.
Today she referred to mixed nuts as “nixed muts” and I am still laughing as I write this : )
Every time she fucks up we incorporate the borken words into our vocabulary. This is what love is all about

2414Mine is zero, also. I’m genuinely surprised, considering my grandfather was dead of a heart attack by the time he was my age, and my dad was having stents put in. I guess my cautious diet is paying off!jfv wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 9:29 am Just got my results back from my Steve Albini Memorial Heart Scan (trademark: Dave N?).

Re: Little Details from Your Day
2415I also was pleasantly surprised, though your family history is much scarier than mine. My father and both grandfathers all died suddenly of heart attacks, but they were all in their 70s. Anyway, I ticked quite a few of the boxes for elevated risk: family history, heavy drinker (at times), high cholesterol (at times), not a regular exerciser (at times), depression/anxiety, so I went for peace of mind.Dave N. wrote: Thu Jan 16, 2025 10:50 amMine is zero, also. 2416Steroids are turning my Beagle's health around. I can't tell you how happy I am about it.
Re: Little Details from Your Day
2417That's awesome. Near the end of my first beagle's life (she had terminal cancer), steroids definitely perked her up and she seemed like herself, at least for a little bit.AttackChimp wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 9:58 am Steroids are turning my Beagle's health around. I miss my two beagles, though oddly don't really miss having a dog.
