I became an actual Dodgers fan this year. Just too good, too fun, too easy to watch late at night when they're at home or elsewhere on the west coast.

Went to one or two more games, but I quit watching the Sox on TV 2/3 of the way through the season. i just refuse to be part of it. Still a fan, just not watching that shit. Life is way too short.

The White Sox got "Run Prevention Coordinator" Walker McKinven from the Brewers, going to be new bench coach. That's good news for White Sox fans, I would think – sad that the Brewers have now lost both him and Quintin Berry (to the Cubs), who was credited with developing the Brewers basestealing/baserunning chops.

Devin Williams goes to the Yankees. No big surprise in the end. I loved him for the Crew but am not sure how well suited he will prove to be for the Yankees-associated spotlight, pressure and scrutiny in the long-run.

Soto to the Mets is a nice outcome.

The golden at-bat is a terrible, terrible idea.

"I've been coming to the Hall of Fame as a player seven times, and this is my eighth time here in the Hall of Fame, and what an honor it is for me to be here as a Hall of Famer," Ichiro said through an interpreter. "This is a very special moment. I was able to receive many votes from the writers, and [I'm] grateful for them, but there's one writer that I wasn't able to get a vote from. I would like to invite him over to my house, and we'll have a drink together, and we'll have a good chat."
