500 series racks do all of the AC to DC conversion in the rack itself, so the module would see the same DC voltage from the rack regardless of what the AC input voltage is.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:12 pm Anybody know if 500 modules (not racks) can be used all over the world?
Example - can a single module - preamp/comp/whatever - work in a US voltage 500 series rack the same as a UK voltage 500 series rack etc.

2322Thanks, you explained that wellNate Dort wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 9:21 am500 series racks do all of the AC to DC conversion in the rack itself, so the module would see the same DC voltage from the rack regardless of what the AC input voltage is.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:12 pm Anybody know if 500 modules (not racks) can be used all over the world?

Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
2323Hey so on that patchbay tip: would this be a good project to learn to solder on? Or maybe too complicated?
This will not be a small project since my 32 channel Venice and 16 channel io is going to be the heart of the thing before outboard is even considered.
I would love to not do it but tbh I’d probably put off buying cable just as much as I would put off building cables, but I’d be out less $ with the former.
