Tony posted this to the Balls thread, but this one is mine.

Not to repeat the good doctor, but this is a clone of my 1972 pics only Orange OR120, but at 50 watts, with a half power switch so I can run it at 25 watts, plus a master volume. I have had a head cold, so I've only got to play it sparingly the last two days, but it rules. I A+B this and the Orange and it really sounds just like the Orange, just more manageable volume and only 25 lbs.

I love (LOVE) the master on this amp and can get such a great (oomphy?) breakup sound that I may ditch two pedals off my board or at least rethink some things because it sounds so good.

Anyways as everyone knows already, if you need an amp, buy something from Dr. Balls, you wont be disappointed (you know this already). Deeply considering selling my 2204 and getting another Balls build.

Well this looks badass. If this sounds close to my old OR120 (that you now own), this exact iteration might be something I might save up for.

Tony, these days I’m kicking myself for not having you put a master on that DC30 clone you built me. Still sounds awesome! Just sometimes a bit loud in some rooms.

Ha. At the time I probably would have dissuaded you from it, as I was more anti Master at the time. Nowadays i've come around to one type of them that I find to work exceptionally well.

Nice, I have the same one. All my amps have reverb so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything by not having a 201.

I hadn’t used it in a while and the pinch roller tension had become loose enough so it was slipping, but in a pretty awesome woozy flangy way. I since adjusted it but I do miss the borken effect.

That’s beautiful. I have a Fulltone TTE I need to spend 15 minutes on so I can use the tape echo function again. I put 50s style slap (or the 60s-70s version of it) on anything I can get away with and I’ve still been using my actual tape echo as a damn guitar preamp.

I should probably get a cheap reamp box so I can figure out a way to set it up as a balanced effect send but god I have a million things to do as it is.
