Oh, x2 on Bauhaus. That was a great show.
Were you at the Brixton gig?!
I’m going to say yes, but in my memory it was Kentish Town Forum.

Edit. It was KTF. August 2006
Oooo…mine was definitely Brixton. It might have been 2005?

Edit - aaaahhhhhh nope! 2006 it was. Here is the actual show!

I went to the 'Peter Murphy + David J play Bauhaus 40th anniversary' tour a few years back, and it was a good show. Played everything I wanted to hear. I never saw Bauhaus, I figured that would be the closest I'd ever get to seeing them.
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

It was something special with Ash and Haskins. I also saw the Tones on Tail tour they did.

I truly love seeing whatever is going on in Bob Dylan’s band these last few years but I feel like the youngest person there.

Same when I also just saw Terry Allen live. He was pretty good but its a little distracting until the lights come down. And he had some kind of nylon string sound on a keyboard that was in dire need of being replaced by a regular piano.

It doesn’t feel fair to call either a legacy act considering one has spawned an entire industry around him and the other never really had a hip media era. Not quite the same as seeing George Thoroughgood playing a casino but there’s a chance I could like that too. Also a chance I very much would not.

If there was ever an award for “bands that don’t and never mattered” RKL would be in the top 5. Hated them and their dumb schtick back in the day… seeing a bunch of mid 50s dudes revisit that shit now in 2025 would be painful beyond belief. Who the fuck would actually go???!
