Got a $600 check in the mail from some Zoom class action settlement that I guess I signed up for a while back, not sure what it was over. They should not have done whatever they did, the twisted fucks. They knew whatever it was they were doing was wrong. You can't just do certain things without consequences, Zoom.

Takes the sting out of the $150 highway toll bill I got in the same batch of mail. Class action lawsuits rule.

i used to be funny and sweet and lately i'm living like an impulsive selfish bish..

i want to live the clown's prayer Chris Farley used to recite

"as i stumble through this life
help me to create more laughter than tears,
dispense more happiness than gloom,
spread more cheer than despair.

never let me become so indifferent
that i will fail to see
the wonder in the eyes of a child
or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.

never let me forget that my total effort is to
cheer people, to make them happy
and forget at least momentarily all
the unpleasantness in their lives.

and in my final moment let me hear you whisper;
"when you made my people smile, you made me smile"

Whichever flavor of licensed-for-in-store-play music service they subscribe to was playing Siouxsie, early Elvis Costello, the Smiths, and things of that ilk.

I'm afraid that it might have been the oldies channel.
That's weird, because the Home Despot I was in today in the Bronx was playing Public Enemy - "Don't Believe the Hype"

I was near Santa Cruz, CA . Perhaps they use a formula based on credit card info and music that once made that store's most profitable demographic feel cool. Now we get to feel cool while puzzling over drywall anchors because our homes seem to have non-standard framing.

Last night the bf and I got stopped by the cops on our way home from a dinner party. Something about tail lights. Haven't been met by flashing lights and sirens in a minute and I immediately got rigid and defensive. Took out the phone and started recording in case shit went south. Totally killed my buzz (bf was driving sober) but overall the pig was cool. Still, the experience put me on edge for the rest of the night. I was in a bad, bad mood.
