I have a regular Super Reverb from the 60s and can’t imagine needing something bigger and heavier and cleaner. I still use it as a pedal steel/every instrument amp but it is kind of wasted in a home as it really comes but alive in big rooms - like itll do that Marquee Moon sound takes a little bit of juice.adavidmackinnon wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 12:48 pm Bry Webb of the Constantines played one for years and it sounded amazing there. It was parked in my old studio for a while. I didn't use it much but when I did it was good. It was really nice clean. Nice driven too but very loud to get to that sound like every other super I've ever played.
Also, I’ve spent more money getting that amp fixed up than any other, if mostly because I had a transformer eat shit and it is very expensive to experiment with speakers in those things.
