They should probably have it at a skater's house (with a half-pipe in the back) in Goleta, cuz that's abut how many people will go.Iancee wrote: Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:41 amIf there was ever an award for “bands that don’t and never mattered” RKL would be in the top 5. Hated them and their dumb schtick back in the day… seeing a bunch of mid 50s dudes revisit that shit now in 2025 would be painful beyond belief. Who the fuck would actually go???!

62The Dead Kennedys are still going in some capacity, and haven't released anything since 1986.

65You might get to see King Crimson. I got to see them at Ravinia a few years back, and they were fantastic.Twilight Sparkle wrote: Sad I will never see NoMeansNo live, and may never see King Crimson..

66There ought to be an option for "Depends on the band."
Some of these reunion shows are great, others suck, and everything in between.

67KC I don't think is a legacy band, they have been changing line-ups and musical styles since 1969. The Fall could not have been been a legacy act either.Twilight Sparkle wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 5:14 am Sad I will never see NoMeansNo live, and may never see King Crimson..

68I saw KC at the Paramount in Seattle. They were great.

69Oh right that's a good point. That's why I'm scared they won't be playing anymmore tho, I think the chance there will be no new line up prompting Fripp to go out again is pretty high.enframed wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 10:11 amKC I don't think is a legacy band, they have been changing line-ups and musical styles since 1969. And very jealous Krev and John! Have only heard great things about their more recent shows. I'm a bit frustrated to have slept on Beat as well. Even tho the 80s Krim is like my favorite, I kind of initially dismissed it as dinosaur stuff. The general consensus seems to be tho that it was pretty fresh and alive. Hopefully will get to see that semi-legacy act if they tour again!
