I dislike knowing I probably won't make it to 70 as neither of my parents did. I also dislike the constant physical pain. I also dislike knowing that unless I adopt someone really soon, I won't have anyone to take care of me in my old age, which I guess makes dying before 70 a good thing.

I like not being afraid of cops. I like not caring about what most people think of me. I like having a master's degree.

No but seriously I'm 50 but mentally & physically* I feel like a 30-year-old with a more advanced pre-frontal cortex (better judgment and lower tolerance to suffer bullshit), which is great. But the part that sucks is that I feel like 50 is a Rubicon at which if your inertia has stopped you from doing certain things, it's now too late. I know that's not true but I'm bummed to not be able to say I spent 60 years doing such-and-such.

Also that being OLD old isn't that far away--30 didn't seem that long ago which means 70 isn't that far off, and that scares the hell out of me.

*kind of, I'm not in as good of shape as I used to be but I feel like I can get that back if I work at it. I do get tired a lot more but that could be the trauma.

What about the ones you left with my fat ass?

I think I'm at that age where my fitness isn't what it used to be. I can't just do shit and be fine anymore. Oof.
I had some of those since I was 17. Sorry mate.
