Last night me, my partner, and three of his old college friends went out for dinner and then back to our place for hangs. Over the past 48 hours all I''d been hearing about them was how cool and radical and lefty they were. The words "anarchist" and "communist" were used in abundance. "when we lived in wicker park blah blah blah...." should've been an indicator that I was about to get mired in some milquetoast liberal version of radicalism.

All. I. Said. was that Democrats suck, always ruining any chance of progressivism because of their corporatism and got met with "Joe Biden was great for black people." That exact phrase came roaring out of a commie mouth with no stumbling or hesitation. Soon after I began to censor myself as well as feel guilty for censoring myself because I didn't want to appear angry and be angry. I got angry a few weeks ago when we got pulled over by the cops on a traffic violation. I get angry from watching the news. He doesn't watch the news, doesn't want to talk politics, but has no problem talking shop with his wicker park anarchist college pals who think Biden is great for black people.
Goddamn I wish someone would try to tell me that Biden was great for black people, cuz I could really go for a good fight. Well anyway don't feel bad, it's OK to get angry as long as you express it strategically! Like of course you know that expressing anger to cops is not a good strategic move, but dropping truth bombs on white yuppies will always be OK. In fact if you let it out with harmless motherfuckers like that, then you're less likely to pop off at some whippersnapper with a badge and gun.

Jesus christ, what a heel. I'm sorry that person isn't adequately embarrassed by their own comment. Liberals are ridiculous.
I agree, a totally ignorant and stupid thing to say. Randy had every right to be disgusted.

I’ve outed myself as a Biden apologist earlier in this thread. Liberals are - generally - smart enough not to say something this idiotic. There’s some other sort of delusion going on here.

“I’ve been great for black people” sounds like a direct quote from Trump (or one of his MAGA disciples).

So have I. I have no regrets in voting for him.

My friends have a joke about how in certain company we can say, "Democrats/liberals are the worst". But if some flag shorn gentleman in wrap around sunglasses overheard us and tried to give a high five we'd be all, "No. Not you. Move along."

Apparently in the US the safety concerns all revolve around the people in the vehicle. Over here there are extra standards that relate to doing less damage to things you might hit, like pedestrians. Whether the size of a cybertruck factors into that I'm not sure, but I could see it's height being a problem.

So, the newest scandal about the Signal chat between top officials talking about war plans that accidentally included the chief editor of the Atlantic... either they are totally incompetent (they are) or (and) they did this on purpose for whatever reason. I mean, whatever their argument is for how this is good, the fact that they presumably accidentally added the chief of the Atlantic to the chat is proof enough that this was not secure and completely stupid.

It’s been an effective distraction from several other things, like the DoJ arguments about the disappearance of immigrants in court that read like a 14th century royal proclamation, or the impending tariffs that will undoubtedly fuck up the world economy, or the murder of hundreds of Palestinian children in a single day.

Not pretending this is an exhaustive list, either.

That's the point. It's all entertainment. That's all Trump really knows. Everyone else around him just use him for their pet projects.
