I watched Natalie Wynn's latest epic on conspiracy theories. It's very much worth your time. It's pretty long but the primary thesis presented is that conspiracy theorists are emotional in the right place in questioning power both hidden and overt, but asking questions that end up distracting from real problems and therefore helping to continue injustice. This isn't really a new idea, but it's articulated in a really incisive and entertaining way.
Personally I think there are conspiracies, they just happen in board rooms and government departments and are mostly hiding in plain sight.
