Re: Drum-o-dome - the 90s
54Matt Cameron apparently sings and plays guitar in a Wipers tribute band. I haven't met him, but have always he's a nice dude.

55I voted for Todd. Seeing Shellac in 08 or 09 was life affirming, and it was the first time I had been flabbergasted by how good drums are.
Re: Drum-o-dome - the 90s
56I feel like Brant Björk and the rest of Kyuss are responsible for half of Finnish amateur bands. I bet there is not one rock musician here aged 30 to 50 who hasn't played in a half baked stoner rock band.
"Semmosta Kaijjus-jumitusta", we would say.

57Janet Weiss, Brendan Canty, Todd Trainer and Mac McNeilly all are some of my all-time favorites.
If we are talking 90s drummers, we should also include J Mascis for his work recording Green Mind and earlier on Bug from 1988.

58The drumming on Green Mind is great. I just wish the album were the equal of the three before it.yngwie einstein wrote: If we are talking 90s drummers, we should also include J Mascis for his work recording Green Mind and earlier on Bug from 1988.
But hey, wait, Murph didn't play on Bug? I always thought Mascis turned Dino into his one-man band after "The Wagon" single. That the first three records all used the original rhythm section.
Re: Drum-o-dome - the 90s
59I'm pretty sure Murph played on Bug. Mascis is a really good drummer, although I agree that Green Mind was pretty weak overall.

60I recall reading years ago that J recorded all the parts on Bug. But, I could also be wrong.Krev wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 2:44 pm I'm pretty sure Murph played on Bug. Mascis is a really good drummer, although I agree that Green Mind was pretty weak overall.
