Not crap, though I never thought he was bad or great in anything I saw him in. Might have been because I saw a lot of those movies - Willow, Batman, Top Secret! - when I was younger and was oblivious to "ACTING!" I somehow never saw Tombstone.

As someone already mentioned, his documentary (I think it's on Amazon Prime) is really good.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is underrated.
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

Anyone ever see the remake of The Island of Dr. Moreau? There's a scene of VK being freaky whilst "Die Interimsliebenden" pulses in the background.

Island of Dr Moreau is not as bad as it's reputation has it, but lets face it, Brando and his mini-me carry this one, as soon he's gone we're left with nothing except Val Kilmer listening to Einsturzende Neubauten...which is not bad. Somebody should do a mash-up of this movie and the Taylor Swift Cats.

I haven't seen Val's documentary, but he has a real weirdo website where he's presenting as Steven Seagal level pseudo-Native American cos-play, bedecked in turquoise jewelry and chokers so on. Maybe that's explained in that doc. He did do Thunderheart which is like a FBI on the res story.
