Absolutely not. And, the people who've enabled him in Congress, need to be held accountable.

that's right. there's no point now.
Also: who would've thought that Anthony Scaramucci would turn out to be an outspoken opponent of Trump?
good example. same with michael cohen. they're not truly repentant. they just got played and now they need a new career without trump.

This I totally agree with.

Even if they backpedal from Trump, these are still the same fucks that don’t give a shit about civil rights, which pisses me off even more than ruining the economy.

I agree with the congressional stooges, they can all get fucked.

There's a different line with MAGA voters. There has been a trend of people sharing TikTok videos of bewildered MAGA voters ranting about how they lost their government job or how his move fucked up their industry with text pasted over it telling them they can go to hell. Or worse, commentary about terrible stuff happening to an entire state, Kentucky's economy for example, and how they have it coming. That's incredibly stupid to me, because even KY has thousands of voters who didn't support this shitty president, and the whole progressive agenda is we create a society that aids people, even if they disagree with us. I feel like a Christian missionary, if they see the light, they're welcome here. We can't improve this crazy country if we tell people who are starting to come around to fuck off because they voted for a dictator. I'm more like, "High five, buddy. You get it now. Let's clean up this mess."

Sadly, we'll leave the MAGA citizens to pay for it, while the wrongs of congress will be forgiven and forgotten.

We had a civil war a bit over hundred years ago. I met a relative who saw her dad in the POW camp, she (unwittingly) smuggled notes from her mom to her dad in her mitten. The scars of that war are still present, to this day here. Especially in the rural areas it's common to threaten to kill the reds. Recently some hockey fans brought the war to a hockey game, reminding that the white militia killed red soldiers in our hometown.
All this just to remind that civil wars are extra bloody and carry a lot of trauma.

I agree, in that gloating over something like this in an "I told you so" fashion isn't the point. There are some MAGA types who could use some kind of shock to the system, still, but overall, lording an unfavorable outcome over someone who (knowingly or not) willed it into being isn't that productive.

If people realize a bit too late that someone like Trump or Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg or RFK Jr. or J.D. Vance isn't their friend, and doesn't have their best interest in mind--AT ALL . . . better late than never.

The "Hands Off!" protests are an important step. A "blue wave" in the midterms would be another. I don't have all of the answers, but it will take a lot of work to undo the undoing.
ZzzZzzZzzz . . .

Maga is a cult. They are brainwashed. The GOP sold us out for power, but they were too stupid and even handed that away for short term gains.

People who voted for Trump because they are clueless, they're also to blame because they didn't pay the fuck attention. Maybe they could be forgiven. Maybe.

People are dead, dying, or have been physically and/or psychologically assaulted because of maga and the hate it inspires. It will take a lot more than an acknowledgement of fault to begin to set things right. Their come to Jesus moment is because they have suddenly found themselves in the crosshairs instead of being active or passive supporters on the sidelines.

I don't fuck with racists, nazis, or misogynists. They would need to prove their contrition by taking some sort of action to repair the damage they've caused and not hollow speech because their 401k tanked or they've lost jobs. They can get bent.

That is true. This whole thing is so fucking bizarre - and horrible - people are dying because some people are dissatisfied with... Uh, what? It's really hard to see from here why MAGA is pushing your country to civil war or genocide. I'm sorry I can't find words to underline how worried and angry I am for you.

Because they are still smarting from their loss in 1865 - it's generational. It's pathological. Forgive the cliché but this is America, it's always been. People en masse have finally received the message only because it's landed on their doorstep. Better late than never ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
