Nothing against Looney Tunes, but Tom & Jerry by far...it's original run is a masterstroke.

Obviously a parody that was clever and unique enough to have it's own appeal, the roadrunner cartoons came nearly 10 years after Tom & Jerry started chasing eachother.

That these things were being made by a crew of like 10 people speaks to the resourcefulness, talent and creativity involved. The true gilded age of America was obviously when cartoons like this were being made.

This one is kinda tough for me, because Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes were my 2 favorites as a kid. Every weekday afternoon, they'd show a half-hour of T+J, and Saturday mornings would be at least a 1-hour block of LT shorts.

My vote goes to Tom and Jerry, mostly because there's more great T+J cartoons than there are Coyote/RR ones. If you were watching Tom and Jerry and a there was a lion roar and a 'Produced by Fred Quimby' title card, you were getting quality. And nothing against Carl Stalling, but I prefer the music on T+J cartoons (Mouse in Manhattan alone is brilliant).
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."
