I wonder if it's some mix that those amps aren't super loud "DOOOOOM" amps so they're not as valuable now as a Model-T, and probably a lot of studios that were holding on to them have closed so there are more on the market. That's my guess. I'm going to use it for light basement jams and recording so to me it is perfect loudness. If you crank it for bass it gets pretty flubby and overwhelms the speaker but with a guitar you can get plenty loud with it and it stays stable. 50 and 100 watt tube bass amp prices aren’t going up with the times, either.
