You won't - I played one in store and the only thing that had me walking away is I couldn't decide which one I wanted (CP, DX etc.)llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 6:36 pm Got a damn Yamaha Reface electric piano coming now. Hope I hate it
Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
1572Once I’d taken to the Moog so much I’d thought the dark Rhodes/Wurlitzer sound was my next goal. I gathered that the Reface at $400 was the best option - if I have to spend over $1000 to get that sound I’d just as soon put that money into the real thing.

1573It's here.Frankie99 wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 9:08 amI saw him pimping those on IG a little bit ago. Interested in it.major wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 8:20 am Got a message from TTTides Guitars that my David Pajo Strat is about 3 weeks out from shipping.
If I get another alum, it'll be from FM CJury, but I like hearing how these all compare.

Other than being a Strat, I give it 5 stars! (in Andy Daly's voice)
Nothing major here. Just a regular EU cock. I pull it out and there is beans all over my penis. Bean shells all over my penis...

Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
1578In less exciting news, I bought a table.
It’s a vintage Safelock projector stand. Anyone who’s ever worked a corporate AV job will have set up/broken down about 10,000 of these shits every year. Wanted to try something as a combo amp stand that isn’t milk crates and is probably more portable. These vintage ones have metal tops, while the ones you see at hotels/conference centers today are primarily all plastic, and because specialized industry equipment is as a rule dumb expensive it’s like $300 if you try to buy a new one outright. I’m lucky to keep it to one bill here.

Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
1579I'm nearing another studio purchase in the next few months and I have to wonder if tarrifs are about to hit the mics and preamps market. Don't want to panic buy but I don't want to wait in order to pay extra.
Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
1580I got it. Spent my lunch break driving 45 min each way to pick it up. Haven't done anything with it yet, but it's here.Nate Dort wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 7:12 am Somebody in SoCal needs to go pick up this SVT-III (non-pro). These are my favorite hybrid tube/ss amps, and you don't see them pop up very often anymore. Same preamp circuit as an SVT, but with a BJT output stage. I would have already smashed the buy button, but it's local pickup only. Looks like it needs a little bit of work to fix the mid frequency selector switch and a general cleaning.
