Of course, yeah! It came from https://mjscustompickups.com/ - he makes the pickups for millimetric and a few other small builders. He was very easy to work with, I'm stoked on the results.TylerDeadPine wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 2:26 pm
Can I ask where you got the pickup? My buddy Matt makes some off the wall guitars, https://www.instagram.com/maranger.instruments/ - if he didn't make that one he probably wouldn't mind buying them on occasion
Re: Micro-reviews of Gear You Just Bought
1002Also - those Maranger guitars are very very cool! I played a show with a band (strange attractor) who had one of his basses a few months back and it was really striking.

1003ah! the glorious small world that is Canadian independent music. I am from Sudbury - longtime friends with Jeff & Mitch, national treasures. If you play with Imploders at all that's our friend Joey. Sudbury infects everythingmdc wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 3:09 pm Also - those Maranger guitars are very very cool! Re: Micro-reviews of Gear You Just Bought
1004I’m sure you know my pal and occasional bandmate Jesse then!
Re: Micro-reviews of Gear You Just Bought
1005haha! I do but it's been a lonnnng time - we would go and try to watch anything Jesse was doing because he was always into good stuff.
He might not remember me, but he would know Andrew Jeffkins, I'm his friend Tyler.
You might know Davey from Ottawa too, been in a million things, another guy Nick Wol

1007Big city Canada find for real:
Rebadged Squier Jazzmaster with Fender USA hardware swapped in, bridge is a Classic Player TOM I think, is super fucking comfortable with a flatter radius than I'm used too and sanded down neck. Pickups (assumed stock) are shockingly decent. Cheap heat for the win...
Might have to re-radius my 90s CIJ now.
