Yeah, that protector shit is deep myth. It sits right next to the guy polishing his side arm just fixating on a home invasion. Almost hoping for one, cause otherwise what's the meaning of all this stroking?

You can feel the tickle in your lizard brain, "I'm the man. I must be strong and protect the women and children." But like, what about the million days they don't need protecting? What are you doing on those days?

I have this real low T fixation on maintaing a society where people don't need a strong protector with a thick neck. It turns out many of the people working with me on that are women.

This is so true. I remember reading about the backlash against Rudolph Valentino’s popularity, and you heard the exact same complaints about the “loss” of masculinity and manhood using literally the exact same language. One hundred years ago!

Every new generation believes that (a) masculinity is in crisis and (b) the younger generation is lazy and inconsiderate.
