Jimmy Swaggart, one of the most loathsome men of his generation.
An obituary reminded me that, prior to the sex scandal that ended his career as a headliner, he’d publicly and vehemently condemned Jim Bakker for a sex scandal.
One thing I didn’t know, though, is that Swaggart was caught with a prostitute a *second* time, three or four years after the famous first encounter.

1453Oh, totally. Just a despicable, little person. Apparently he had quite the charisma, though.
It’s funny to think of how prominent those figures were in the 1980s. Who is the biggest one now? Joel Osteen? Because I don’t think Osteen is quite the public figure that Swaggart and Jerry Falwell were. They were the Joe Rogans of their era.

I'd rather be throwing darts.

1455My step-mother Linda (on my father's side) in St Louis. Heart attack two nights ago. It turns out that my father has had dementia for the last year but has been hiding it from everyone with Linda's help. This is about to get complicated

1459Very sorry, seby. My grandmother had dementia, and it was hard.
I'd rather be throwing darts.
