Yeah it doesn't do anything for me. I'm happy for them that they got to do it, but it seems like it's more for their pleasure than ours. I don't consider it "real" Bungle because Charlie and Ian are no substitute for Danny, Clinton, and Theo. But I'm not a Bungle nut anyway. Like I'm glad they did what they did, but I'd rather listen to Secret Chiefs 3 every time.

If you were talking about Bungle you'd still be wrong, but closer. Faith No More is too adult contemporary for Juggalos.

I love that Ipecac Records put out the last Jesus Lizard record and that Patton and Denison played together in Tomahawk. I hope the mighty Lizard has not lost any cool points in the thread for being associated with such an obvious clown show.

Anyway, I listened to Album of the Year yesterday and enjoyed it very much. "Collision," "Stripsearch," "Last Cup of Sorrow," "Ashes to Ashes"...good stuff.

In addition to the Jesus Lizard, I think it’s inane how people have to fantasize about Faith No More or Mike Patton’s musical associations when Ipecac Recordings has signed and supported a bunch of bands and musicians to this forum’s liking or even being actively part of fellow communities: Melvins, Tom Hazelmyer, Oxbow, Mark Lanegan, Unsane, Isis, Dälek, Sleaford Mods, Spotlights, Zu, the Young Gods, and so many others to name.

When Mike Patton (and Greg Werckman) started Ipecac, I was a bit afraid that he would’ve gone the Greg Ginn route and completely mishandled the record label, as Ginn did with SST. It makes me very happy to see – as far I know – that this isn't the case. Instead, Ipecac Recordings is one of the best record labels that continuously support their artists to this day – some of whom were surprised to see huge royalty checks from Ipecac. I don’t give a shit how Mike Patton decides to look or how his music makes people’s skins crawl, I hold him in very high regard.

Mike Patton, Faith No More, or Mr. Bungle could play in Gathering of the Juggalos for that matter and it’d be great. George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic played at Gathering of the Juggalos and nobody gave them shit for it. Besides, juggalos are a bunch of fun people, so I would've thought that mocking a group of fun, harmless, misfits who built an inclusive community for themselves would've been beyond in the past by now.

Faith No More is not crap.

When Shaggy 2 Dope played the venue on my block, my lawn was the most litter-free after a big show there than it ever has been. The juggalos were super polite!

To quote FM Steve:
“Yes, I’m saying the Juggalos are good. A non-judgmental, inclusive community for people on the fringe, built on a beautiful communion they call “family.” They remind me of punk/queer chosen families and I love them. I haven’t heard much of the music, it’s atrocious. Who cares."

There's a reason why PRFBBQs were dubbed "the Gathering of the Huggalos" by one FM Bumble.

I kinda thought we were over dissing on Juggalos or throwing that around as an insult tbh.

FNM: I owned the Chuck records, The Real Thing, Angel Dust, and that ep with Easy (and the "Midlife Crisis" picture disc!) on tape in lil' dude times. Listened to them a ton, and DJ's love of Angel Dust definitely made me go back and revisit and enjoy it.

I don't really need to go back to them but man there are so many worse bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers made up of assholes like the Red Hot Chili Peppers who continue to make terrible music like the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I have never knowingly heard Mr Bungle.
