Re: Band: Faith No More
111if FNM was still around I could see them playing the gathering of the juggalos, just strait up clown shit
Patton sang on an Insane Clown Posse song, so maybe.dumbass wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 6:19 pm if FNM was still around I could see them playing the gathering of the juggalos, just strait up clown shit
Yeah it doesn't do anything for me. I'm happy for them that they got to do it, but it seems like it's more for their pleasure than ours. I don't consider it "real" Bungle because Charlie and Ian are no substitute for Danny, Clinton, and Theo. But I'm not a Bungle nut anyway. Like I'm glad they did what they did, but I'd rather listen to Secret Chiefs 3 every time.Krev wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 4:46 pm I gotta say that Mr. Bungle thrash album is pretty mid. I get it, though; thrash is fun as fuck to play live.
If you were talking about Bungle you'd still be wrong, but closer. Faith No More is too adult contemporary for Juggalos.dumbass wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 6:19 pm if FNM was still around I could see them playing the gathering of the juggalos, just strait up clown shit
You must have missed the reactions when the last album was coming out.DrAwkward wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 3:28 pm I love that Ipecac Records put out the last Jesus Lizard record and that Patton and Denison played together in Tomahawk. I hope the mighty Lizard has not lost any cool points in the thread for being associated with such an obvious clown show.
Perhaps so! Probably because I generally don't care what FNM/Patton haters think about them. I'm just posting in this thread because I think this thread is funny.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 4:10 pm You must have missed the reactions when the last album was coming out.
In addition to the Jesus Lizard, I think it’s inane how people have to fantasize about Faith No More or Mike Patton’s musical associations when Ipecac Recordings has signed and supported a bunch of bands and musicians to this forum’s liking or even being actively part of fellow communities: Melvins, Tom Hazelmyer, Oxbow, Mark Lanegan, Unsane, Isis, Dälek, Sleaford Mods, Spotlights, Zu, the Young Gods, and so many others to name.DrAwkward wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 3:28 pm I love that Ipecac Records put out the last Jesus Lizard record and that Patton and Denison played together in Tomahawk. Anyway, I listened to Album of the Year yesterday and enjoyed it very much. "Collision," "Stripsearch," "Last Cup of Sorrow," "Ashes to Ashes"...good stuff.
When Shaggy 2 Dope played the venue on my block, my lawn was the most litter-free after a big show there than it ever has been. The juggalos were super polite!Cardholder wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 4:32 pm Besides, juggalos are a bunch of fun people, so I would've thought that mocking a group of fun, harmless, misfits who built an inclusive community for themselves would've been beyond in the past by now.
Faith No More is not crap.
