Watching some of the stuff that this UT Gov is saying and he seems like a really decent human being. His whole press conference was pretty much done in a conciliatory tone, which is the last thing I would expect from any R politician RN. Then I googled him.

On June 13, 2016, Cox spoke at a vigil in Salt Lake City honoring those who died in the Orlando nightclub shooting the day before. He surprised many when he apologized for mistreating schoolmates and his lack of support for the LGBTQ community. He aimed part of his speech at the "straight community":

How did you feel when you heard that 49 people had been gunned down by a self-proclaimed terrorist? That’s the easy question. Here is the hard one: Did that feeling change when you found out the shooting was at a gay bar at 2 a.m. in the morning? If that feeling changed, then we are doing something wrong.

I don't think that's how those vest work. They are designed to absorb the impact. He did not wear a vest. I think the dude aimed for the head and the bullet just dropped to the neck. I think it was a unlucky/lucky shot.

He was alt-right and a possible Groyper (that Nick Fuentes asshole's people), and that Bella Ciao song is in a game and is apparently very popular among that set. If you know anything about the extremely online alt-right everything they do is drenched in memes and multiple levels of irony. Plus Groypers hate Charlie Kirk for not being Nazi enough.

Excuse the clickbaity title but this was the first thing I found that lays it all out in a tidy manner.

I won't say "watch the video" but I saw it and it looks like it does hit him in the chest and ricochet. His shirt ripples as if there was an impact.

The irony is that it hit him on the right and would be a survivable shot if he weren't wearing a vest.

If you have ever been a 22-year-old drifter with a chip on your shoulder, shakey sense of superiority and the feeling that the odds are stacked against you to make some kind of mark on this world and time is running out (which is entirely untrue but subjectively real) it is not hard to understand guys like this or Oswald, or countless other very young men who do similar things.

I just went and I slowed done it to a frame by frame video and it did not shoot him on the right side. There is no way a bullet going straight a million miles an hour jump left on impact. Not an expert, but it does not seem placeable.
