I saw them on the Challenge For A Civilized Society tour at the Black Cat.
To be fair, I thought all three played very badly.
It could also be that they're just boring live.

i havent read all of this discussion yet so forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere.

i saw electrolene live before i heard them on record while tour managing a band that were sharing the bill with them. they had said to stick about to check them out (normally a good reason to stay when one is knackered as these chaps had excellent taste), but i thought that they were utter tripe. it was the fact that they were all girls that i agreed to sit through the show, not in a ooo sexy grils way, but because i had expected a whole lot more from them.
in my experience of all girl or girl dominated bands of this type of musical leaning, they tend to really bring everything to the table due to the inherent sexism in our male dominated industries.
if anything i expected more from them.

the first record was (in my opinion) a pile of shit, but i havent heard the new one so i wont judge it until i have. all the same, i expected them to really show we males what they could do, not to prove themselves as such, but just to show that girls can be just as cool as boys.
