I find ritualizing mundane things an easy way to get them done on the regular and not miss out.
Old age (for me anyway) forces you to slow the fuck down and be more deliberate. Measure your steps, not the distance between them. I've probably told this here, but I once worked with an old guy (like 67 when I was 19) who left me with sage advice. He said "we've got a lot of work to do men. Lot of work, and we're not gonna get it all done today so we might as well take our time". Then he lit a smoke, tipped his hat over his eyes, and dozed as he pulled on the smoke.
