23Very, very happy for everyone involved. Very happy for us as fans too!
I kinda don't know how to say what I want to say. I've raved about my admiration for Aaron as a musician/person/artist in the SUMAC thread. I've loved Neurosis and considered them one of those bands that's just the absolute best at what they do - they're peerless. I hated what happened, and I can't think of a better way to start a new path forward. What a stunning and great decision. I'm thrilled.

Funny that it has multiple (unintended?) Swans references - "Burning World" (the Swans "goth" record) and

27Production is unsurprisingly excellent. They're still into 80s horror movie synth interludes. They do that well. On first listen I found the times they upped the tempo to be the most engaging. "Mirror Deep" grabbed me immediately after track one kind of announced same awesome band, updated personnel.

28The melodic part around that starts after the 7:00 minute mark of "First Red Rays" sounds like it could have come off that last Hum record.
