This is pure FAAFO nonsense. None of them actually understand the reality of what’s they’re doing. I’m pretty sure Trump just assumed the public would immediately get behind this, that key allies/client states like the UK would be in for a penny in for a pound. That Iran would just fold internally like Venezuela. Now they’re in what shouldn’t exist, an air war quagmire.

There was no plan, just a thought that Trump could keep bending reality around himself. Well, reality is slapping all of them in the face. I imagine he’ll suddenly pull out, leave the Iranian people to the wizards that run the country. The reprisals have already started with announcements of public executions of “traitors”.
