I've got a project coming up and the only place we can record has got some pretty average gear. So we're gonna hire a load of stuff in, payed for by the label (Nice). Just wondering who's good/best for price and selection of gear in uk, london area if possible?

When we recorded in Wales in a studio with no gear we rented some stuff from studiocare in Liverpool.
I've no idea how their prices compare to other places, they just were around the corner when we needed someone.

I had a good experience with FX Rentals. They are based in Acton and are very helpful.

Yeah, the world and it's monkey uses FXrental.

What about Matt Snowball? We have used him a few times for live equipment with good results. Maybe he doesn't have studio gear...just touring stuff. Dunno. Worth checking.
