The speakers in my Fender Twin are becoming tiresome to my ears. I have never really been enamored with the sound of the stock speakers, but didn't hate them enough to make swapping them out a priority until now. Any suggestions? I know exactly dick about speakers, but I'm willing to spend the dough on a good set. If it helps, I am running the amp at 15 watts (the amp is still more than loud enough to keep up with my heavy-handed drummer) and the style of music I play is loud, distorted punk rock much in the style of Dillinger Four. Please help!

Why don't you replace one speaker at first to see how it changes. You can also mic the new "better" speaker when recording.

I like Celestion speakers. The Vintage 30 is a fab speaker. The G12 75T is not too bad for the money either.

Speakers can make a massive difference to the sound.

Weber VST makes cool speakers, well worth checking out.

these are great speakers. our guitar player uses weber speakers pretty much exclusively.

i put some in a twin once and was very happy with the result.
