My thoughts exactly.

Steve says this guy sucks = green light to behave like a total dick to him.

Way to go electrical.com sheep.

Dignity, anyone?

I didn't intend to "set a mood." I honestly meant what I said, that posting things like this on this particular board was likely to yield exactly the results it has.

I also didn't say "this guy sucks." My opinion is immaterial.

Putting your own music on a public web forum and asking people to listen to it and comment on it is asking for trouble, especially when the forum is populated by people prone to strong opinions and language.

That's all.

Here's one of the things I enjoy so much about this forum. I learn new words and expressions here. I have never heard this phrase, "cold check it" before. It is silly and brilliant and annoying. I am going to utilise this phrase lots and lots to amuse myself and annoy my friends, until I am thoroughly bored of it.

Even my girlfriend has started utilising the expression "laying a deuce". Fantastic.

I didn't listen to the "mash up" (this is one of the worst expressions ever to be wrenched from the English language) but if I had I may well have got a few cheap digs in on the poor lad once Steve set the mood. Had I listened to it after people started defending him perhaps I would have joined that bandwagon, telling people to lay off him.

It happened once before when a lad made a poll about "sex with fat chicks". I waited for someone else to tell him he was out of order and then I came in like a coward and laid the boot in on him, along with about twenty other people. It was like an e-lynch mob. After it had calmed down a bit I felt bad.

Nowadays if I'm unsure I just sit and watch the attack, then the defence, and then chime in at the end with a vague, non commital entry like this one.

I listened to a U2 song today, of my own free will. I don't know what happened. I just wanted to listen to Sunday Bloody Sunday. I borrowed it from a housemate and played it on my cd walkman whilst laying a deuce. It was a horrible experience.
Back off man, I'm a scientist.

Am I the only one whose computer won't play the damn thing? I feel like I'm the only kid too short to jump the fence and crash the frat-house party. You fellas make the thing sound so bad that it just might be interesting.

As suggested by someone else, deportment prize goes to Hench. Your beaming refusal to rise to his variously predictable imprecations made the other guy look like a dipshit.

it's not going to live up to the outrage generated here - there's nothing technically askew/glaringly naive to the whims & standards of pop music. i'm happy to email you a copy of it, but don't expect the shaggs or anything.

hench. not foot-foot.
