Host city of next year's gay games. Not often I get to use "gay" and "Mecca" in the same sentence... even back to back.
I've always found the sibilant "s" of Chicago folk reminiscent of the stereotypical gay lisp. It was only a matter of time. This simply formalizes what we already knew...

4For any number of reasons (e.g., an enhanced tax base), any city is lucky to have a thriving gay community.
This seems obvious to me.

My city of Oakland, Italia has gone so far as to set aside a specific part of town as a "gay district."

6Minneapolis has a very large and prominant gay community. Moreso than Chicago.
In fact, I read that Minneapolis has the highest per-capita concentration of gay residents of any US city...even more than SF.

I've heard that, too. Depending on what you read, it's a tossup between Mpls, SF and NYC. Also, the three most expensive cities to live in in the nation (vs. average income or whatever). Not that that means anything, I just hate it that I live in one of the top three most expensive cities in the US.

8Really, Minneapolis is more expensive than L.A. and Chicago? Not rent wise, anyway. Or milk-wise.

What, is there a registration system for sexual preference? I'm getting worried a little now...
