Much as I dislike the walking illegal operation that is Bill Gates, his philanthropy deserves a tip of one's hat, no? Yes, let's all give him the tips of our hats.
AIDS prevention/vaccination/treatment in Africa for example - set me straight if this is wrong - is something that he could be praised for. The foundation isn't peddling this bullshit line about 'abstention', which I imagine hasn't endeared him to Republicans or the Christian right in the US. Should it not be applauded that he's probably doing more (proportionately) than big pharma is?
