I liked "No kill No Beep Beep" and "Different Damage". I didn't like "Power".
I like Fugazi and Bluetip(another Dischord band) though they disbanded on 2000.
Never had the chance to hear some other dischord bands.

*ahem*
there are/were so many great dischord bands -

minor threat, fugazi and the evens obviously.
rites of spring including one last wish and happy go licky.
faraquet and qandnotu were both silly good.
gray matter and three were sodding brilliant.
hoover and the crownhate ruin. one album each but both were amazing.
jawbox and shudder to think both released their best material on dischord.
anyone who doesn't love nation of ulysses and the make up is to be killed without trial.
slant 6 were briefly fantastic, as were smart went crazy and branch manager.

surely one of the finest labels ever.

q and not u was a fantastic band. The shows were so much fun to goto.

as far as good dischord bands go, i saw medications (ex faraquet) a couple months ago and was slayed, it was one of the best shows i have seen in some time.

the first time i saw q and not u was at the fireside bowl in chicago for their different damage tour. there weren't that many people at the show, but the search for WMD just started in Iraq and it all worked into the energy of the show. I think the last part of the last song they played turned into a chant with just handheld percussion and drums and they walked out of the building chanting..that kind of ending was a first for me.

too bad for the breakup, but they're already pursuing future endeavors.
