Speaking of multi-tasking drummers, the guy drumming for Pajo when he opened for Mogwai here in MKE played bass simultaneously for a song. I was pretty impressed.

whenever my band was in between drummers, we'd often jam with me playing drums and singing, although I normally play guitar. We played a show that way once and it was so awesome. We didn't play very well, but it was fun ha. I do mess up tempo when I sing and it's hard to hit fills well, but oh well.

when i play drums, i make grunting sounds and moan. i thought i maybe did this, but it was confirmed once when i was overdubbing drums and the other two guys in the room had to leave cause they started laughing. i don't think it made it into the overheads, but i really don't remember.

that kinda singing is pretty funny.

I saw Arcwelder a few weeks ago in Loring Park. Scott has lost nothing but his hair. Still a great drummer, as you mention. And the best vocalist, by a mile, in that group.

Grant Hart, when he was on his game, was untouchable.
