This is not animated, and I've mentioned it before, but I really would love to see someone use the film Muri Romani by Jon Jost for a music with film installation. The walls of Rome deserve it.

Yeah, definitely try to get a hold of James Fotopoulos. You won't be disappointed. He's one of the most active and prolific experimental filmmakers I know of, and I think he's only 28 or something. Crazy.
Anything by the Brothers Quay is great. I could watch that stuff all day.
Man with the Move Camera is awesome, but it would almost be a shame to run it silently while a band plays, as the score to it is equally awesome.

wow, i must hand it to you: this is probably the first time i've seen a Jon Jost reference on a non-film related message board. i haven't seen this film though. is it recent? his movie Jon Jost's Frame Up is one of my all-time favorites. so funny, and creatively put together...
