he doesn't interview so well, however. in the doc Punk:Attitude he kinda came across as a douche.

but then again, my friend saw the Jerks play "Roll Over Beethoven" with Chuck Berry live, so he's clearly done some cool shit in his life to boost that ego.

15 minutes of greatness is a little skimpy for a not crap vote.

Group Sex is an essential hardcore release, and it's pretty much immortal. "I Just Want Some Skank" and "Live Fast Die Young" are killer.

However, there's all that other stuff...

For now, I think I'll abstain.

Maybe you're right in this particular instance - haven't seen the movie you've mentioned - but Morris was both eloquent and amusing in Another State of Mind, to a large enough extent that any future interview douchness should be forever mitigated.

Circle Jerks are N/C, on the whole. Sure, as they went on the good songs became less and less frequent, but Group Sex is one fucking hell of a debut. Just an impeccable sequence from beginning to end. Probably among the ten best punk albums to skateboard to, though don't hold that against it.

In high school I wore a Circle Jerks shirt that I'd picked up during their reunion tour in the Summer of 1995. It's the one with the dude "skankin'" and it says "Circle Jerks" really big at the top. My principal saw me wearing this one day and asked me to turn it inside out. "Why?" I asked. He said it was offensive. Then I said, "What do you mean?" He said the words were offensive. Then I asked, "Why? What do you think 'circle jerk' means?" At which point I had him because there's no way in hell a straight-laced administrator in his late fifties is gonna explore his definition of "circle jerk" with a sixteen-year-old student. Take that, Mr. Hayes!

Who voted CRAP?

C'mon... 'fess up.

Group Sex is and shall remain absolutely essential listening for fans of 80s hardcore punk. N/C for me.

Group Sex and Wild in the Streets alone garner them an NC.

The first band I was ever in used to cover "Beverly Hills" all the time.
