i have no strong opinion on this word at all. very neutral.

i don't use it. ever. i think that the roughly-equivalent phrase in my lexicon would be "fancy-pants", which i use often, ranging in tone from slightly- to highly-derisively.

i weak "not crap" for this word 'classy', since i don't really care enough about it to call it crap.

Never thought about it... don't hate it though. Although when used in arguments to berate others, it's cliche like a soap opera script. Example:

'Oh, real classy Joe, bringing my family into this!'

or

'Oh real classy, showing up to my daughter's wedding, in a trench coat for Chrissakes... and after all you've put us through, too.'

Hmmmm... still, not crap. 'This is one classy joint' or 'She's one classy lady' just don't seem to get my bowels in an uproar.

Only good when describing a hooker. It is one of those words with very limited use for some reason...
