Salut Sox fans. Congrats on winning the pennant.
Salut Chet Lemon, wherever you are.
The Sox win the pennant! The Sox win the pennant!
12Its not sinking in at all for me. Its the World Series, in my lifetime, that doesn't make sense. Amazing.
The Sox win the pennant! The Sox win the pennant!
13Salut, Chicagoans! Perhaps someday we Milwaukeeans will know of this joy again.

14Joe Crede will be referred to hereafter as Mr. October.
Incredible. I've waited all my life to see this and it happened.
Maybe the greatest postseason starting pitching performance ever.
Only sad that Frank can't go.
Four more wins and I can die happy.

So many fair-weather fans.
Crede and Konerko aren't much to rely on. Either way this series will be pitched extremely well.
With Guerrero and Figgins hitting the way they have throughout the series, I would'nt be surprised to see the same thing happen with Cabrera and Pujols.
So many things strange about this. But whatever, I am in no mood for fighting! Salut, you fucking Sox! Si, you prove to be the best team in the AL, and hopefully the MLB!
Brad, see you in Chicago! Drum your ass off for the South Siders on Friday! Sheet, goddamn, si bah-dee!!!!
(I hope all you kids learned some valuable lessons this week about fundamental baseball: always be careful on the dropped 3rd strike, always tag the runner with the ball in hand, and money doesn't necessarily buy a championship.)

18Salut!
These Calzini Bianchi have won the ugliest series in memory, but they were good enough to win anyway. So nice for to win.
Buona fortuna alla Serie di Mondo, Calzini! Buona fortuna!

19So much of the craziness!!!!!
I ran at full speed down Halsted (from 31st ish to 33rd ish) in the bike lane with my Sox flag and was saluted by the Chicago Police and multitudes of horn honking drivers. So many people with the horns and the fireworks! You are beautiful, Sox fans!

In retrospect, I should have stepped off the stage and utter-kicked Mrs. O'Leary's cow.

Good gravy.
here's a recording of a few minutes of the chaos outside my front door on wallace near 38th, six blocks from sox park, 11:05 pm. sm58 through a screen door on street level.
this recording is provided as a public service to confused and frightened cubs fans to orient them to the unfamiliar experience of winning a pennant.
