Act: Looking At Your Poop Before You Flush It

They are very big on this in Europe. Especially in Austria (see below) and a certain country where you should not ask any guitarists for their pick.

In fact, the "inspection shelf" toilet was invented in Austria.

Many Germanic types tout this type of toilet as being "healthier," since you can take a good, hard look at your shit before you flush.

I gotta wonder about this one, since unless you're shitting blood, I am guessing most of us are laymen when it comes to healthy looking shit. I'm not trying to say that everyone in Germany and the K. und K. Monarchie is a shitologist or whatever, but I think it's a weak argument to claim that a toilet is somehow "healthier" just because you can check out your turds better with it.

I was reading somewhere lately about healthy poops, and how they're supposed to sound when dropping. You want sort of a "pa-thoonk" sound, and you're good to go. Not too solid (clogging up the channel), and not a slip-n-slide.

Oh yeah, and who doesn't look at their poop before flushing? I don't even think about it, I just do it.

Once I was dating a horrible mexican girl. I took a shit in her apartment that was so large I had to go get her to to show her. It was that large, no way I was just gonna flush it away without having someone verify it indeed did exist, for later tellings of the story.
When she dumped me a few weeks later, she cited that incident as one of her reasons for doing so. I still think I made the right call, this thing was unholy. I still think of it from time to time, and this was like 10 years ago.
