Hey I wanted to explain my vote in the poll. I voted 'bad'. I meant it as bad, like the way we have said it can mean really good. That is how I meant it. Maybe the poll should have two different 'bad's... one for the real bad and one for the really good bad.

Mark, I'm still a little unclear. Could you explain it to me again?
Thanks,
Faiz

Mark,
So can "my bad" sometimes actually mean "my good"?
Thanks in advance... Tom

I haven't seen him play in ages, but I'll bet he's still "good"...

For the sake of clarity, lets just say "good" and "bad" mean nothing but their traditional definitions.
Good= Great, talented, etc.
Bad= Terrible, boring, untalented, etc.

Yeah, I know. A good idea... but I tend to use the word 'bad' to mean 'really really good' like when you say ' oh man, this chilli is
bad!' or ' look at that couple on the dance floor.... they sure are
bad, the way they are dancing and such." In this way 'bad' can mean 'really really good'. See what I am saying? Did I clear anything up? Faiz? Tom?Can you help me out here...

No, no, no. That 'bad' means 'bad', as in 'not so good at all'. That record is surprisingly not very good, nor is the video for the title song, nor his career or recorded output since
What I mean is when I say 'bad' is.... oh nevermind!

Reynolds Washam is hanging up his sticks tonight:

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts. i have a son now and am lucky enough to get to take care of him while my wife works. (she earns much more than a struggling drummer can.) i am finding it very difficult to devote my time to Wyllis' care and stay "rehearsed" or keep my chops up or whatever you want to call it. you can't sit around the house and practice drumming like most other instruments. drumming and nap time don't work well, and it's difficult to find time to get to my rehearsal space.
my wife and son come first and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to care for him during the week. i am setting the sticks down for the time being. my last show is tonight with Abby Travis in los angeles.
Although I'd always been fiercely impressed by his drumming, I knew nix about Rey until I read the
Mark Prindle interview a couple of years ago. For someone to be so candid, honest and unassuming about past indiscretions made me think he is one of the good ones. I wish him and his young family well.
