my pal Courtney did this movie about the Lakota Nation's struggle with the US Government to grow hemp as a cash crop. It's legal in Canada.
It's been shown on PBS several times. I highly recommend watching it:

my girlfriend uses some kind of hemp oil hand moisturizer. it smells like construction mud but works wonders on the hand-flesh. really great stuff.
