I mean, _he_ was the badass? Maybe compared to Potsy and Richie and Ralph Malph, but not in any other universe.

As I remember, he just got wimpier and wimpier in the last couple years of the show.

Didn't he adopt a Shar-Pei or something?

Wasn't he a well spoken teacher by the end of the series?

Henry Winkler is of German Jewish descent. Wtf.

This fact raises the obvious question of why Richard Belzer was not cast as Vinnie Barbarino.

Thinking of Henry Winkler in the role of an Italian street tough reminds me of Ben Stiller playing an angry Latino newscaster in "Anchorman".

It also reminds me of how my former employer would send an Indian woman to represent the company at African-American career fairs.

CRAP.

My girlfriend and I sometimes enjoy the television shows Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, both of which feature Richard Belzer. My beautiful girlfriend always refers to Belzer as "the Fonz." She does this because she thinks he, you know, looks like Henry Winkler, and because it slightly annoys me. I never thought they looked alike at all. It turns out they're cousins. I'm an idiot, both for not seeing the resemblance and for posting this.

You need to have Fonzie start whippin' a chain around and hit that Malph guy right in the throat!

OK! Enough out of me!
