go for a nice proco rat, big muff pi, or mxr blue box(balls). the only negative thing i have to say about the blue box is that the sound never sustains it just fades out so its a little annoying.

There is a mod to take care of that problem, along with the overall drop in volume. It helps a bit, but changes the overall sound slightly depending on what type cap you use.

I was looking around effector13.com and discovered a picture of the pedal she made for me. Just thought I'd share...

The Tech 21 XXL is a nice distortion nice price $100 has Warp knob which adds negitive or positive harmonics lots of ump very sencitive to pickup switches and guitar tone volume controls.

Pretty picture of the pedal though, just looking at a nice pedal like that make you think that it must have great sounds lurking inside.

Wish there were a pedal with chrome skull with red LED indicaters in the eyes I would have to buy it just for the Big Daddy Roth appeal.

Between the genesis of this thread and today, I've acquired an Effector 13 Soda Meiser (hee) and it's fucking insane, and Devi is a certifiable genius.

Big Muff Pi i can vouch for, especially in the lower end. That's some meaty fuzz. For higher end crunch bite, maybe a la CAN, i have always found the Ibanez Tube Screamer (vintage/old style one not the weird re-issue) to be unmatched. It's bottom end isn't great, but that's why one fuzz pedal need not be enough.
