Going strictly from memory here:
Tom wrote:The best part of Transformers: The Movie.
Some robot Judge: Silence! Or I will hold you in contempt of court!
Some robot prisoner: I have nothing but contempt for this court!
...That's showing that robot judge.
That "robot judge" was a Quintesson, and the robot prisoner was Hot Rod.
Germ War wrote:The best part about the Transformers movie is the inappropriate use of Weird Al's "Dare to Be Stupid" during one of the intense battle scenes.
I didn't find it inappropriate because the fight was with the intentionally goofy Junkions.
Hi, i'm a dork. About a week and a half ago my roommate and i were in a bar with some ladies and he asked me which Orson Welles movies i've seen. I responded, "Citizen Kane, Touch of Evil, and Transformers: The Movie."

I loved Transformers. So many brilliant designs, such fun toys. the gift which kept on giving.
And also a time when it was so much simpler to distinguish what were boys toys and what were girls toys.
Boys' toys:
Transformers
Rock Lords
Mask
Gobots
Girls' toys:
Barbie
Cindy
My Little Pony
Simple.
I found Soundwave to be a truly terrifying Transformer, even when I was young. Most of the other Decepticons had big guns on their arms, or turned into fighter jets and bombed things, but Soundwave and his cassettes were kind of creepy, sly spies. His excellent hearing and professionalism were far more scary than his mostly triggerhappy, emotional peers.

A friend of mine recently installed one of those touchscreen computers in his Nissan truck. Another poster here christened the truck 'Optimus Prime' and to this day that is it's name.

Did the Transformers have any sort of battle cry that indicated that they were about to transform?
If so, I cannot remember what that cry might have been.
It's probably some sort of code.

I seem to remember Beetlebug scream "1001010010110!!!" during the pilot episode.
Guess it didn't stick...

There was also this very cool sound when they actually got to the transforming.
