Belo Horizonte?

More than likely nice middle class kids then. That's one of Brazil's more "even" citys. A beautiful place.

Cheers to Sunlore for the "Ratamahatta" appreciation.

The Cavalera brothers are sons of a diplomat, if I´m not mistaken. No favelas there. IMO they ruled, until they split. All post-Roots stuff is very weak. I spoke to Andreas once, he mentioned that Ratamahatta was a song built during mixdown, they delivered it to Andy Wallace, when they got back it had turned into what we know.

It seems that I like at least one Andy Wallace mix.

I feel weird.

Arise, Chaos AD and Roots were mixed by Wallace. Chaos AD was tracked and produced by him as well, it's their finest sounding record IMO. Roots not far behind.

So not crap!!!

In my top three best first listening of an album is "Roots".

I spent one week in the forest during my military service and one day we had to wear for 5 hours very uncomfortable anti radiation clothes, rubber gloves and a gas mask.
I decided to smoke a nice spliff just before that, then I put on that anti radiation clothe and underneath the gas mask I put my headphones to listen for the first time to "Roots" that I bought a few days before.
Oh my fucking god!!!!!!!
I was so tripping on my own, complitely stoned, listening to Roots and half suffocating under that gas mask.
A real unforgetable experience.

Ha!

Like the army of the Dutch! Six months of spliff-smoking madness and crazy people yelling at you!

Ha!

The Switzerland and the Holland, we may be small countries but our armies are far fucking out, màààn!

Sorry - I actually voted Not Crap.

Chaos AD and Roots are 2 of the best albums from that era (or maybe of that 'type' of music)... along with Slayers Reign in Blood etc. And for that the other crap can be forgiven.

Like people voting that ZZTop are Not Crap when everything after the first few albums SO very awful.
