. . . It may seem unfair, but I'm really dismissive of bands like Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand. They're just out to be on MTV and sell millions of records. I'm not saying that just because they've been aligned with us in the press musically, I'm just not interested in bands that do that. I don't care two hoots about Smashing Pumpkins selling millions of records. Billy didn't speak to me. Kurt Cobain did, so I loved the fact that Kurt was selling millions of albums.
