"screw music" (the slowing down and pitch shifting to get deep vocals) is a funny idea but i find that the songs are rarely listenable the whole way through.

one exception: the chopped n screwed versions of bone thugs n harmony songs, cuz they rap so fast with such precise rhythm and such cool vocals. they sound really cool when slowed down.

but what i do like about screw music is how a bunch of other rap songs use the technique for just a few seconds, like just for the chours or just the intro or whatever.... in some situations it can be a tasteful piece of studio trickery to throw in

also, i think 2pac did some tasteful stuff with slowing his voice down on some of those intros of his.

I recommend the wreckchopped-and-screwed version of Big Moe's album called City of Syrup.

It's great. The regular version is nothing special, but the screwed version is great.
