I generally prefer typical rock 3 minute ensemble structures with few solos, but this guy was out of this world. I somehow acquired a DVD of a performance in Japan, and enjoyed it immensely.

He was amazing on the stuff he did with Joni Mitchell, too. He's practically the lead instrument on HIJERA, and his lines flow beautifully with her voice. The man would overplay when left to his own devices, but in the right context he had a remarkable touch ... too bad about the whole going insane thing. Not Crap.
