Ha! Found it.
Mission Of Burma is one of my all time favorite bands--although I got one of their newer albums a couple of years ago, and was disapointed.
"That's When I Reach For My Revolver" is one of my favorite songs. How is the new DVD?

To be fair you could change Bob Weston for anyone else in the world and they would still suck now.
Still, they mastered the formats!
1 superb single.
1 superb EP.
1 superb LP.
1 superb live album.
Not many bands can claim that.

I personally got into MOB in the last two years (I am 31, not sure why it took this long). I agree they are an incredibly smart and fun rock band. If anybody can tell me why I am wrong for thinking that Obliterati is their best effort, I would be thankful. I think Vs. is really good, and OnOffOn is great, but Obliterati sounds so much better.

I'm listening to an MIT bootleg from 1982. Right before that, I listened to a show from 2004. I detect no loss of heart, energy, creativity, intensity or musicianship.
I think they likely are a better band now (though
Vs. is still my favorite album of theirs). Actually, nevermind. That statement is completely retarded: they are the same fucking band. They were great then and they are great now. Tommy, have you seen them live?
I think their two newest records are overlong but the best tracks are right up there with "classic Burma."
Face it. They are twice as old as us and kicking far more ass.
And I think Bob's tape loops are magnificent. Especially live (though I can't always hear them).
And about that t-shirt, it's kind of like saying Joy Division would have sucked without Martin Hannet.
