The opening credits of "Jules et Jim".

The slo-mo shot at the beginning of "Raging Bull".

I'd have to say the beginning moments of Mean Streets. Keitel's head hits the pillow and then boom, "Be My Baby." Love Scorsese's use of music throughout, especially the "Please Mr. Postman" poolhall fight scene.

The Big Lebowski.

Every part of that film is perfect.

I love love love the opening of Peckinpah's The Getaway. McQueen looking hard as fuck, you can feel the Texas heat, all cut in really jarring way, with industrial prison noises over top of it. So fucking great.[/i]

2001: A Space Odyssey.

Full Metal Jacket

Saving Private Ryan - though only the first time you see it and on the big screen. Scared the fucking shit out of me.

i'll probably come back with more. I'm still reeling from our world cup defeat.

I also strongly agree with Once Upon a Time in the West and The Big Lebowski

The opening credits of Mulholland Drive, with that crazy 60's boppy song and the jive dancing.
