Im sure at some point this band (and probably on some level still do) wanted to make music for music sake, hence the whole learning how to play instruments thing. but seriously. It was pretty funny that the songs are pretty much exactly the same.

this mp3 illustrates that well.

i'm assuming everyone has seen the video where an audience in portugal throws stones at nickelback and they leave the stage?

If not:

I can't stand to listen to Nickelback myself, but that guy seemed to keep things pretty cool after getting pelted with rocks. Especially after that last smack he takes to the side of his head. Yeah, it's amusing to see the clip at first, but I don't care how bad the music sucks, throwing rocks at a band you don't like is just fucked up...

i still think it's ice cubes from their drinks and not rocks.

i've only ever seen people walk off stage for getting pelted with sod. watching dave mustaine take a direct hit, a big chunk of sod, right onto his picking hand/ pickups of his american made jackson V, and then *finish the song*... when the song ended he walked off stage and had the promoter (or similar) come out and tell people if that shit doesn't stop, the show's over and everybody can go home. this was the clash of the titans tour, like 90 or 91?, and if i remember right, slayer had not gone on yet. the thought of what would happen at their hands to the guy who threw the sod that prevented several thousand people from seeing slayer... let's just say megadeth finished their set.

I have to say that tmidgett's dual red "Electrical Audio Post Gauge" thing is pretty swanky...
